Partner Matching Process

🎯 Automatic Matching by Rating

The system pairs you with another solo player based on Playtomic rating.

• We aim for the closest match possible
• Exact matches aren't always available, but we get as close as we can
• Matching happens within a few days of sign-ups closing

📧 First Email Notification

You'll receive an automated email with your potential partner's details:

• Their name
• Their Playtomic rating
• Their gender (for mixed leagues)

The email contains a single button: Accept Match

🌐 Go to the Website

Clicking "Accept Match" takes you to our website where you can either:

⏰ 48-Hour Response Window

You have up to 48 hours to respond to your match.

• If you don't reply: The system automatically declines the match
• 24-hour reminder: We'll send you a friendly reminder email
• Both players must approve: The match only goes ahead if both of you accept

🎉 If Both Accept

You'll both receive a confirmation email with:

• Full contact details (phone number + email address)
• Your team name (e.g., "John Smith & Sarah Jones")
• Next steps for organizing matches and payment

You're now officially a team and ready to play!

🔄 If One Declines

The match is cancelled for both players.

• You'll be placed back into the solo player pool
• You'll wait for the next round of matching
• No hard feelings - it happens to everyone!

🔄 Second Matching Round

After 48 hours, a second round of matching takes place.

• You won't be paired with the same person as before
• We'll try to find you a different partner
• The same 48-hour approval process applies

😔 If You Still Don't Match

If you're still unmatched after two rounds, you won't be able to take part in this season's league.

• Don't worry — there will be future seasons to try again!
• We'll keep your details for next season
• You can always try to find a partner and register as a complete team
